Jodi Helmer, the author of The Green Year: 365 Small Things You Can Do to Make a Big Difference, recently blogged about her "Naked Week", an experiment in self-imposed home nudity. She had decided to do this to satisfy her journalistic curiosity about the idea that perhaps there are a lot more things that can be done nude and that perhaps it makes a lot of otherwise mundane things a lot more fun.
Having known many folks who have gone through essentially the same process, myself included, I can assure Jodi that there are plenty of people for whom home nudity is the norm. The spare pair of shorts and a t-shirt near the front door for greeting unexpected guests is a common theme, in fact.
We all have interesting anecdotes about our first forays into nudity-for-other-reasons and so I hope Jodi will talk to others about their experiences and document them. Perhaps a visit to a nudist club or resort would be the next fun thing for her to try!
